Two local Provo musicians rocked the national stage during NBC’s The Voice on Monday night.
Ryan Innes took the stage, singing John Mayer’s “Gravity.” It was clear this was the audition of the night. Coach Adam Levine turned on the very first word, with Blake Shelton turning shortly thereafter. It took new coaches Usher and Shakira a bit longer to turn, but once Ryan hit his blues-ier runs, all four coaches were facing forward and gearing up for the fight.

Amy Whitcomb came to The Voice with hopes of making a lasting impression on the coaches. She caught the attention of coach Adam Levine who told Amy that her rendition of “Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson “works.” Because of this, Adam won pop singer Amy for his team.
Both musicians have made some big waves in the Provo music scene performing at hot spots such as Velour Live Music Gallery in Downtown Provo. Let’s hope they both go far!
