Torrey has a population of 179 people. Three hours from Provo and three hours from St. George, this little town sits just outside Capitol Reef National Park in southern Utah. Goosenecks Music Festival – the ambitious brainchild of BYU students Max Metcalf and Thomas Clawson – plans to increase Torrey’s population by over 44,000% come August.

“Our dream is to have music lovers from all over the state coming to escape for a weekend and explore music both new and familiar,” they say. “And have them leave not only discovering rising musicians, but discovering the beauty that this area has to offer.” The festival is named after the beautiful Goosenecks Canyon. Metcalf and Clawson’s team of college students envision a festival where nature and music will go hand in hand, creating a unique experience for attendees.

Today, Goosenecks announced the full lineup for the festival, which is scheduled to take place August 19th and August 20th at Red River Ranch in Torrey, Utah. The lineup includes Utah artists like:
