Whether you’re alone, with your family, dating, or looking to hit the town with roommates, there’s plenty to do! Here are 5 things to do around Provo for New Year’s Eve.

Countdown to 2022 Presented By Provo Parks and Recreation

Ring in 2022 with your wild side at the Provo Countdown to 2022 New Year’s Eve party. The theme this year is Party Animals, so expect lots of jungle themed fun! Designed for folks of all ages, the event is on December 31st from 7 PM to 12 AM at the Provo Recreation Center. Tickets cost $10 a person or $5 for Provo Recreation Center members. The event features inflatables, laser tag, face painting, karaoke, dancing, Ninja Cross pool access, New Year’s crafts, virtual reality, and much more. Two stages of entertainment acts will have you laughing at comedians, wondering at hypnotists, and marveling at exotic animals.

If you want spectacle but don’t want a party, you can ring in the New Year in the Provo Recreation Center Parking Lot. Two fireworks shows will take place at 9 PM and midnight respectively. Unlike the Countdown to 2022 party, participation in this part of the event is free.

Frost and Flame Masquerade at Evermore Park

Bring the whole family to celebrate the New Year at Utah’s most fantastical theme park. Evermore Park is hosting their annual Frost and Flame Masquerade, featuring a costume contest, ice skating on an outdoor rink, DJ Jarvicious, a special large quest for this event only, and more! The park is open for special New Year’s hours: 7 PM – 12:30 AM. You can snag tickets here.

Heart & Seoul Karaoke

Located in the heart of Downtown Provo, Heart & Seoul Karaoke is an Asian-style Karaoke lounge with over 30,000 songs to choose from – and your own private room. With lounge couches, big screen TV’s, a disco ball, and wireless mics, it’s a great place to chill on New Year’s Eve. Rent a private room here ASAP. Reservations for New Year’s Eve are going fast.

Don’t Stop The Music New Year’s Eve Party 2022 (Featuring DJ Yeecii)

Advertised as Provo’s “wildest New Year’s Eve party,” this event has everything: a red carpet, limousines, photographers, a ball drop, a money drop, LED walls, an announcement at the event about a secret after party…

Writing all of this makes me feel like Stefon.

DJ Yeecii will be flying in from Miami for the event. He announced on August 16 that a portion of revenue from this event will go towards earthquake relief in Haiti. The party will take place at 1440 North Moon River Drive in Provo, UT. Tickets are $15. Presale tickets are available here. The event sold out at 10 PM last year, so get your tickets soon!

Afuego Fridays: New Year’s After-party

Back for the 7th year in a row, Afuego Fridays is hosting their official New Year’s After-party. Advertised as “the only dance club in Utah County,” this is a non-smoking, non-alcoholic club featuring two floors of high energy music and video mixing. The party lasts from 10 PM to 5 AM at Enigma Event Center in Provo. Purchase online tickets here for $15, and get a feel for Afuego with their promo video below.

Bonus: Just Shoppin’

If you’re not a New Year’s night owl, University Place in Orem is spicing things up with a New Year’s photo op earlier in the day! Located at the customer service desk, shoppers can have their picture taken surrounded by balloons. People who share their photos online with the hashtag #universityplaceorem will be entered in a drawing for a $500 University Place Gift Card. The winner will be announced on Monday, January 10th on Instagram. University Place is open from 10 AM to 6 PM on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
