Shows This Week (4/4/2022 – 4/9/2022)

Spring is in full swing! Here’s every show happening in Utah County this week.

On Wednesday, April 6, Velour is hosting their weekly Open Mic Night. Doors at 7:30 PM.

On Thursday, April 7, Mac Wright & The Generous will headline a night of roots rock with Beck Brothers, Mick Rudolph, and Brother O Mine. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $10 on 24tix.com.

On Friday, April 8, RIP Cassette, the Samuel Charles Band, Botanical Animal, and Dallin Phillips will perform. Tickets are $10 at the door. Doors at 7:30 PM.

On Saturday, April 9, Muninn will perform with The Sols and The Shindas. Tickets are $10 online here. Doors open at 8 PM.

The Boardwalk

On Friday, April 8, Mel, Runaway Tourist, Jay Erv, and Uncle Ty will take the stage at The Boardwalk in Orem. Doors at 7 PM. Tickets are $8 online here.

On Saturday, April 9, Mizere X Kuttl3ss, Roadkill, TK Crazy, A Philly, Caleb Taker, Q4, Prophecy, 5padez, Dwoun Da Allstar, Eyeball Jone$, Twisted Tailie, and Yung Crave will all perform as part of the MONEY TALKS TOUR. Doors open at 8 PM. Tickets are $10 online here.

Java Junkie

Java Junkie hosts an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

On Saturday, April 9th, Kaden Blackhurst will perform at 8 PM. Jed Reynaud will perform at 10 PM.

The Hut

On Friday, April 8th, Mia Hicken will perform with Carolyn Brooke. 8 PM, free admission.

BYU

On Tuesday, April 5, The BYU Wind Symphony presents “Music for the Young at Heart.” The show is at 7:30 PM in the de Jong Concert Hall. Get tickets here.

On April 5, the BYU Concert Choir, BYU Singers, and guest soloist Shea Owens will also perform. They will present Mendelssohn’s Elijah. The performance is at 7:30 PM at The Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City.

That same night, the Student Composers Showcase returns. This starts at 7:30 PM in the Madsen Recital Hall. Free admission.

On Wednesday, April 6 String Chamber Night will take place at 5:30 PM in the Madsen Recital Hall. Flute Choir will perform afterwards at 8 PM in the Madsen Recital Hall. Free admission for both events.

On Thursday, April 7, the Jazz Legacy Band will take the stage in the Madsen Recital Hall at 7:30 PM. Free admission.

On Friday, April 8, the BYU Philharmonic presents their Season Finale at 7:30 PM in the de Jong Concert Hall. Get tickets here.

That same night, BYU Syncopation presents their spring concert, The Lyric. This starts at 7 PM in the Madsen Recital Hall. Tickets are available here.

On Saturday, April 9, the Harp Solo and Ensemble Concert will take place at 7 PM in the Madsen Recital Hall. Free admission.

Also on Saturday, April 9, the BYU Wind Symphony will give another performance of Music for the Young at Heart as part of the BYU Family Concert Series. This is at 11 AM in the de Jong Concert Hall. Following the concert, audience members can get an up close and personal look at the instruments and musicians of the Wind Symphony!

That same day, The BYU Global Rhythm concert will feature world percussion music performed by Gamelan Bintang Wahyu, directed by Jeremy Grimshaw, and Panoramic Steel, directed by Darren Bastian. The concert is at 7:30 PM in the de Jong Concert Hall. Tickets are available here.

UVU

On Friday, April 8, the UVU Chamber Orchestra will perform at 7 PM in the Concert Hall. Tickets are available online here.

On Saturday, April 9, the UVU Percussion Ensemble will perform at 7 PM in the Concert Hall. Tickets are available online here.

Provo City

On Friday, April 8th at 6 PM, Provo City Events will hold their annual Spring Sounds Concert. sarah june and Flashback Brothers will perform on the back lawn of the Covey Center for the Arts.
