Tomorrow, dozens of young performers will arrive at Velour Live Music Gallery for a special two-night music festival. The Big Noise Music Festival is a product of Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse, one of the nation’s leading private music programs.
Based in American Fork, Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse has been educating musicians since it first began as Crescent School of Music in 1998. Their multi-disciplinary programs train musicians between the ages of 8 and 18 how to rehearse efficiently, perform effectively, record professionally, and tour meaningfully. Genres taught include soul, swing, rock, country, jazz, and funk.
Guest instructors have included members of Maroon 5, Toto, the Dave Matthews Band, Genesis, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Tower of Power, Journey, the Saturday Night Live band, AC/DC, and more. Tours have taken Soundhouse students through club stages and world-famous concert halls alike. Carnegie Hall and the Apollo Theater are just two of the most notable concert halls, but Soundhouse acts have visited every major US city and over a dozen international destinations.
Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse is one of Utah’s best-kept secrets. With over 5,000 students and alumni, it’s a talent incubator of massive scale that injects qualified talent into our music community.
This weekend’s performing acts include Max Headroom, Lo-Fi Riot, Zero Spectrum, Vicious Beat, Deep Pocket, Synchronicity, Radio Motion, Jukebox Antihero, and Infinite Mellon Collie.
Doors open both nights at 7 PM. Tickets are on sale now. Make sure to follow Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse on Instagram, and check out some footage of the Crescent Super Band below!
