Submissions for Provo’s Halloween Music Festival Open Monday

Provo music is scary good.

By Zach Collier

Preparations for Provo’s spookiest music festival are in full swing. Created by Alex Vaughn, Corey Fox, Dean Cheesman, and Paul Nahrwold, Buzzards & Bees is a two night Halloween extravaganza that takes place October 21 and 22, 2022.

Friday, October 21 is Goth Prom – a dance party where attendees come dressed as their most depressing selves to have the time of their lives. With music provided by a DJ, it’s an excellent event to kick off the weekend. Last year’s prom featured local favorite DJ KiD MACHiNE.

On Saturday, October 23rd, Downtown Provo will come alive at 10 different venues featuring over 70 local artists all dressed in their Halloween best. Additional festivities include secret shows, street performers, a costume contest, a mask-making station, spooky story-telling, and more. One ticket gets you in to all 10 venues. It’s one of the busiest single nights of the year for Provo music.

With only 3 months until show time, Buzzards & Bees is opening submissions for festival performers. Submissions officially open on Monday, August 1. If you would like to apply, head over to first thing Monday.

Until then, make sure to follow Buzzards & Bees on Instagram and check out the Buzzards & Bees ’21 playlist on Spotify below!
