The amount of shows happening this October is downright spooky. Check these ones out.

Velour Live Music Gallery

Velour will host their weekly Open Mic Night on Wednesday, October 12. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

On Friday, October 14, Jenn Blosil will have a deluxe edition album release show! Doors open at 7:30 PM. Get tickets for $20.

On Saturday, October 15, Book on Tape Worm will perform with The Penny Candies. Doors open at 8 PM. Get tickets here.

On Friday, October 14, Wedding Bells will perform with Swerved by Blondes, Zenization, and Judd. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $10 online here.

Saturday October 15 will be the Jeepers, Creepers and Jams show! Slick Daddies, Compass Rose, Dozey Dubs, and Spencer Nelson will perform. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Get tickets for $10 here.

BYU

On Wednesday, October 12, the BYU Harold B Lee Library will host the Provo Pop Music Connections panel. There will be a discussion and Q&A with figures from the past and present of the Provo music scene. Our editor, Zach Collier, will be a part of the panel. It will be at 7 PM in the HBLL Auditorium. Free admission.

On Saturday, October 15, the BYU Group for Experimental Music will welcome guest artist Douglas Ewart to perform his own works and lead the group in a collaborative performance. It will be in the Madsen Recital Hall at 7:30 PM. Free admission.

On Tuesday, October 11, the UVU Symphony Orchestra will be performing. Get tickets here.

Rivoli Theater

On Thursday, October 13, the Rivoli Theater in Springville will host a writer’s round concert featuring Doug Lane, Andrew Wiscombe, Clayton Smalley, and Jesse Thurgood.

The Hive Collaborative

On Friday, October 14, Doug Lane will have an album release show at the Hive Collaborative in Provo. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $10.

Covey Center For The Arts

On Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, Warehouse 5 Drum Theatre will be presenting Paranormal Percussion at the Covey Center in Provo! Enjoy a spooky Halloween drum show. Get tickets here.

Piano Gallery

On Thursday, October 13, and Friday, October 14, the Timp Musicians will be performing a suite of music entitled “King of Kings” composed by Matt Lees. They will be performing at the Piano Gallery in Orem at 6:30 PM. RSVP here.

Platinum Music and Sports

On Thursday, October 13, Idaho’s Dozey Dubs will perform an acoustic set at Platinum Music and Sports.

On Friday, October 14, The Samuel Charles Band will take the stage.

On Saturday, October 15, Evan Stolk will perform.

Java Junkie

Java Junkie hosts an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

On October 13, Java Junkie will host the Provo Writer’s Round. This week features Isabel Harouny, Finn Morrison, and Larry Bagby. Doors open at 7 PM. Free Admission.

Hungry Hawaiian

The Hungry Hawaiian on University Avenue provides live Island Style music every Friday from 6-8 PM. It’s free admission, but grab some food and make sure to tip the artist.
