This week, emo legends are coming through town and university art performance schedules are picking up.

Velour will host their weekly Open Mic Night on Tuesday, October 25. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

On Wednesday, October 26, Daphne Loves Derby will be in town to perform with Rookie of the Year and Mighty Vices. DJ Jaws will also have a set. Get tickets for $20 here.

FilmQuest Film Festival will run all weekend at Velour from October 28 – October 31, and then all next week until November 5.

KPGR Pig Pen

On Saturday, October 29, English Budgies, Orchard of Strings and Cravy Dockett will be performing at the KPGR Pig Pen! Doors open at 7 PM. Admission is $3.

UVU

On Friday, October 28, various groups from the UVU Commerical Music program will be performing from 7-9 PM at the Mixtape Live concert. Get tickets here.

On Tuesday, October 25, Hayley Kirkland, Suzy Nichols, and Mark Ammons will perform as a Jazz Trio in the Madsen Recital Hall at 7:30 PM.

On Wednesday, October 26, the Symphonic Band will be performing their last concert in the de Jong Concert Hall at 7:30 PM.

On Thursday, October 27, the BYU Wind Symphony will be performing in the de Jong Concert Hall at 7:30 PM.

On Thursday, October 27, the BYU Group for New Music will present an evening of works written by BYU faculty and alumni composers at 7:30 PM in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Java Junkie

Java Junkie hosts an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

On Saturday evening, October 29, Jazz Khaki will be performing.

Hungry Hawaiian

The Hungry Hawaiian on University Avenue provides live Island Style music every Friday from 6-8 PM. It’s free admission, but grab some food and make sure to tip the artist.
