Your weekly reminder that Provo music rocks! Here’s what’s going on around town.

Velour will host their weekly Open Mic Night on Wednesday, November 16. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

On Thursday, November 17, Josiah Johnson and Shaina Shepherd will be in town to perform. Talin Everett and Michael Barrow & the Tourists will also be performing. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Get tickets here.

Friday, November 18, is the first night of Cowboys & Indies! Brother., Seaslak, Spirit City, and Cactus Tree will all perform. Get tickets here.

Saturday, November 19, is the second night of Cowboys & Indies! This show will consist of Sego, Paul Jacobsen, Pinguin Mofex, and Mac Wright. Get tickets here.

The Boardwalk

On Friday, November 18, Afternoon All Night will be performing with Ophelias Drowning and Laken Lambson. Get tickets here.

On Saturday, November 19, Full Tilt, Rejected Takeoff, and Lyxx will be performing. Get tickets here.

BYU

On Tuesday, November 15, the Mountain Strings and Folk Ensemble will be performing in the Madsen Recital Hall at 7:30 PM.

On Wednesday, November 16, the BYU Symphony Orchestra will perform in the de Jong Concert Hall at 7:30 PM.

On Friday, November 18, the a capella group Noteworthy will be performing in the West Campus Mainstage Theater at 7:30 PM. Get tickets here.

Rincon Poblano

Every Saturday from 7-10 PM, Rincon Poblano Mexican Food holds an open mic night. This is located on University Avenue off Center Street, in between Good Move Cafe and the Wells Fargo building. Free admission.

Platinum Music and Sports

On Friday, November 18 at 8 PM, Cleve Brock will take the stage at Platinum Music and Sports. Free admission.

On Saturday, November 19 at 8 PM, 180 Lonnefelt will perform. Free admission.

Java Junkie

Java Junkie hosts an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

On Thursday, November 17, The Provo Writer’s Round will feature O.K Car, Cambryn Spilsbury, and Zoe Tucker. Free admission. Music starts at 7 PM.

Hungry Hawaiian

The Hungry Hawaiian on University Avenue provides live Island Style music every Friday from 6-8 PM. It’s free admission, but grab some food and make sure to tip the artist.
