Shows This Week (1/9/22-1/14/22)

Winter semester is beginning, and everyone’s back from the holidays. Time to start seeing some dope shows.

Velour Live Music Gallery

On Tuesday, January 10, at 7 PM Utah COPA will present Rise in Concert. COPA is an arts conservatory and Rise is their senior Pop performing company. They will be performing original songs and covers. Get tickets here.

Velour will host their weekly Open Mic Night on Wednesday, January 11. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

On Friday, January 13, and Saturday, January 14, Velour will be celebrating its 17th anniversary! Lantern By Sea, Poolhouse, With Andrea, and Paige Fish will perform on Friday. Cardinal Bloom, Seaslak, Drusky, and Talin Everett will perform on Saturday. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

The Boardwalk

On Friday, January 13, Wishhful Thinking will perform with Stefon Eustache and Jolleytime. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Get tickets here.

On Saturday, January 14, David Verde will be in town from Sacramento to perform. The show starts at 7 PM. Get tickets here.

Lehi Kiln Theater

Join Jordan Caswell at the Lehi Kiln Theater for the release party for his instrumental cover album of Taylor Swift hits, Swift Eras! The show is Friday, January 13, at 7 PM. Tickets are $5 online here.

Platinum Music

On Friday, January 13, Ossian Code will perform. Free admission.

On Saturday, January 14, Goodnight Richard will play. Free admission.

Rincon Poblano

Every Saturday from 7-10 PM, Rincon Poblano Mexican Food holds an open mic night. This is located on University Avenue off Center Street, in between Good Move Cafe and the Wells Fargo building. Free admission.

Java Junkie

Java Junkie hosts an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

On Saturday, January 14, Porcelain Blvd will play at 7 PM. The 7th Street Blues Band will perform at 8 PM. Free admission.

Hungry Hawaiian

The Hungry Hawaiian on University Avenue provides live Island Style music every Friday from 6-8 PM. It’s free admission, but grab some food and make sure to tip the artist.
