Shows This Week (4/17/23-4/22/23)

BYU is wrapping up the semester with a shload of shows. See who else is performing in the Provo/Orem area!

Velour Live Music Gallery

Velour will host their weekly Open Mic Night on Wednesday, April 19. Doors open at 7:30 PM.

On Thursday, April, 20, Paige Fish will perform with Cactus Tree and Talin Everett. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Get tickets here.

On Friday, April 21, a band from the ’90s called Honeysuck will reunite! Doors open at 7:30 PM. Get tickets at the door.

On Saturday, April 22, Book On Tape Worm, Caleb Darger, and Jake Ruplinger will take the stage. Doors at 8 PM. Get tickets here.

The Boardwalk

Thursday, April 20’s show will be an album release concert for Prince Duck. Little Moon and Milne will also perform. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Get tickets here.

On Friday, April 21, Black Corvus, Penalty of Treason and State of Decay will play The Boardwalk. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Get tickets here.

Saturday, April 22, Sunnyday Soap Opera, Muskies, and The Tearducts will perform. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Get tickets online here.

Angelus Theatre

This week, Valhalla: A Viking Rock Opera returns for another run. Catch it Tonight, April 17, at 7:30 PM. You can also see it April 20, 21, or 22 at 7:30 PM. Get tickets online here.

ABG’s

On Friday, April 21, Poet & DJ Coma will perform with BFRANKS and DJ Mayo. Music goes from 10 PM to last call.

BYU

Tonight at 5:30 PM, the University Corale will perform in the Music Building Concert Hall. Free event.

On Tuesday, April 18, the BYU Singers will perform at 5 PM in the BYU Museum of Art before heading out on a tour of the Pacific Northwest. Free admission.

Also on Tuesday, April 18, the University Bands will perform at 7:30 PM in the Music Building Concert Hall. Free admission.

The Jazz Lab band will also perform on Tuesday, April 18 at 7:30 PM. They’ll be in the North Ensemble Room (1151) in the Music Building. Free admission.

On Wednesday, April 19, the BYU Concert Choir will perform at 2 PM in the BYU Museum of Art. Free admission.

At 7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 19, the BYU Wind Symphony and Skyridge High School will perform in the Music Building Concert Hall.

The BYU Men’s Chorus will perform on Wednesday, April 19, at 7:30 PM. This will be a free concert at The Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City.

At 7:30 PM in the Music Building Recital Hall, the BYU Jazz Combos will perform. Free admission.

Platinum Music

On Friday April 21, J4TR, Apathetics, and Damn Dirty Vultures will perform from 7-10 PM. Tickets are $10 at the door.

On Saturday, April 22, Maxwell Sessions will play from 7-10 PM.

Brasas Mexican Cuisine

Every weekend Brasas Mexican Cuisine on Cougar Boulevard in Provo has live music. Listen to some music while eating some great food!

Java Junkie

On Thursday, April 20, Corina Hodson and Joey Brandin will perform as part of the Provo Writer’s Round. 7 PM. Free admission.

Java Junkie has an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

Hungry Hawaiian

The Hungry Hawaiian on University Avenue provides live Island Style music every Friday from 6-8 PM. It’s free admission, but grab some food and make sure to tip the artist.
