Created by Alex Vaughn, Corey Fox, Dean Cheesman, and Paul Nahrwold, Buzzards & Bees is a spooky downtown multi-venue music and arts festival. Each fall, Provo residents can hear every genre—Indie, Electronic, Soul, Folk, Rock, DJs, etc. – in a two night Halloween extravaganza. This year’s will take place October 20 and 21, 2023.

Friday, October 20 is Goth Prom – a killer dance party where attendees come dressed as the phase their mom swore they’d grow out of. With music provided by a DJ, it’s an excellent event to kick off the weekend. Last year’s prom featured local favorite DJ KiD MACHiNE.
On Saturday, October 21st, music will spread through Downtown Provo like a toe-tapping plague, infecting 10 different venues and featuring over 70 local artists – all dressed in festive Halloween costumes.

Additional activities include secret shows, street performers, a costume contest, a mask-making station, spooky story-telling, and more. One ticket gets you into all 10 venues. This has become a Provo music scene staple. If you’ve ever wanted to immerse yourself in the Utah music industry, Buzzards & Bees is a great jumping off point.
There’s only 3 months until Halloween. Buzzards & Bees has opened submissions for festival performers. Submissions officially close at 11:59 MST on August 12, 2023. If you would like to apply, head over to BuzzardsAndBees.com.
