The Boardwalk’s Spring 2023 Battle of the Bands was one for the books, boasting solid acts, food trucks, and the first sold out show in Boardwalk history: the Spring 2023 Battle of the Bands Finals. It was there that New American Gothic was crowned the winner of a raucous, energetic week.

“Honestly, we loved the Spring Battle of the Bands so much we decided to do another in the fall,” says venue owner Brian Cabello. “With the amount of submissions and top-tier talent we received last time around, I think this will be our biggest ever – with some more delicious food trucks again for the finals!”

One of this year’s sponsors, Aesthetico, will be donating a brand new PA system to the winners. Headed by Dezmon Dean of the band Say It Back, Aesthetico will present a new Showmanship Award for the band with the best crowd involvement, stage presence, and overall performance.

“We love working with local business,” says Cabello. “And more importantly the local bands and artists that we love so much.”

Submissions for the event are now open. They will be accepted until Friday, September 8. Interested acts can apply here. The actual event will take place November 7 – 11, 2023.
