The concept of Couchella has existed in Provo for several years now: fresh new local indie bands in an energetic, cozy-quirky setting, providing a fun and memorable night for Utah County young adults. Bouncing from event organizer to event organizer year after year in much the same way the titular couches jump from college student to college student via KSL, this year’s Couchella is taking things up a notch.
Hosted by Provo startup Yedding (essentially Airbnb for event hosting), this year’s Couchella is taking things up a notch. Instead of a backyard somewhere south of BYU campus, tonight’s event will be held at Lions Park.

Constructed in 1970, Lions Park is a Provo City public park nestled at the base of Grandview Hill. It’s a versatile space with a variety of amenities including the largest pavilion in Provo.
Tonight’s music lineup includes Provo locals JBledz, Elijah Phoenix, 19 Miles Per Hour, Jay Phung, Uncertified, Brynn Thurston, and Southernmost Gravy. Bottomless sodas will be provided by The Vibe Mocktails. The event will take advantage of the Lions Park amenities and beautiful scenery, with volleyball and photo-ops.
Tickets are $15 online here. The event is tonight, September 30, at 7 PM. Make sure to follow Yedding on Instagram. While you’re waiting for the show to start, check out “sleepless” by Jay Phung below.
