AURHE began as vocalist Ava Stoneโs solo project. The songs evolved as Ava played Velour open mics and band members joined with time. They had their first release in 2020 with the single โTake a Breath.โ Within the last year, the band was a finalist in the Boardwalk Spring Battle of the Bands, released a collaboration with SLC rock band Crevans Rise entitled “With You,” and even played a mini tour in Hawaii last August.

The band has something for everyone, with Avaโs beautiful and approachable voice floating atop pop-punk instrumentation. Lyrically, the band usually sits more on the emo side than the punk side, often focusing on the daily struggles of life. The songs are an expression of Avaโs human experience and are very personal to her, but give listeners something to resonate with.
Those in attendance at their Les Femmes De Velour performance can expect energy. The energy of an AURHE show isnโt just blind fury for moshing like you might expect from bands of similar sounds, but an energy that is fun while the show lasts and propels the listener forward after. The audience can expect to feel rejuvenated and liberated from their day-to-day problems. Not like the other girls, AURHEโs sets divert from tried and true Provo sounds while still being true to the scene and remaining accessible.ย
Make sure to follow AURHE on Instagram. The band will be performing at Velour Live Music Gallery on February 15th. Tickets are on sale now. You can stream their song โPrincess Dressโ below.
