Long-time members of the Provo music scene will recognize Libbie Linton as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter in the band Mideau. Mideau performed frequently at Velour and was otherwise heavily involved in the scene up through 2018.

In recent years, Linton has focused on playing solo as a singer-songwriter. Her songs are about real-life experiences that are packaged into the structure of a song that is easily delivered to attentive audiences. Sheโ€™s known for her emotional performances of these songs, and her turn to singer-songwriter solo performances allow audiences to take hold of the raw emotions and narratives of her stories without being distracted by the ornate decoration of a full band.

Velour has been a very special place for Linton, and sheโ€™s very excited to return at this year’s Les Femmes De Velour showcase. Those in attendance can expect to experience a performance from Linton in which every word is sung like she truly means it. She hopes the audience will feel connected to her and find their own application of her personal lyrics. Fans of Julia Jacklin, Andy Shauf, Laura Marling and the like will surely come away from her show with a new favorite artist.

This performance will be a showcase of her new era as a solo performer, but you can listen to her song “There, There” from Mideau below. Be sure to catch her performance at Velour on February 29th! Tickets are on sale now. You can follow Libbie Linton on Instagram here.
