Hailing from Luxembourg, Magnus & John are a synth pop duo whose penchant for soaring vocals and rumbling production is sure to please fans of ’80s synth pop revival. Their latest track, “Sublime,” wouldn’t feel out of place on Carpenter Brut’s Blood Machines soundtrack.

The track will thrill fans of Kraftwerk and U2 in equal measure. The synths are EPIC, with very cool arpeggiators, gnarly bass, and THICK pads. Magnus & John not only nail the vibe, but elevate it with Bono-esque vocals. Ohad NISSIM’s mix and master shouldn’t be overlooked – everything gels and locks as it should. It’s a cool blend of the retro and the futuristic, and definitely worth a listen.
