With so much music in the Provo music scene, itโs easy to get sucked in and start listening to music in a bubble. Itโs always great to see what awaits you in the broader world of sonic textures, and to find new recommendations that can inspire you to make music differently than you did before.

Self-described as “The Sound of the New American Revolution,” Common Tribe is the band of singer/songwriter Amillianze Livingston. Sure to resonate with fans of Teddy Swims and Kane Brown in equal measure, Livingston’s phenomenal vocals and slick indie pop production qualify him to run with the big dogs.
His arrangements have just the right amount of grit and twang to immediately evoke images of the American south without being stereotypical country.

Indeed, even though he’s got that down-home country twang, his music feels much more in line with Ed Sheeran than, say, Dierks Bentley. It’s a really great twist on the country sound and a cool fusion of textures.
Come for the soulful vocals in the verse and stay for the mind-blowing harmonies in the chorus.
