Summer is festival season, and Baldwin Guitars and The Boardwalk have announced another two-day celebration of local music coming soon. Power Chord Guitar Festival, as the name suggests, aims to elevate local bands playing the guitar-centric genres of emo, alt-rock, and pop-punk.

The festival organizers expressed excitement at the opportunity for so many bands to show off their skills over the two days. “These bands represent the overlooked artists of Utah’s music scene, and we’re thrilled to provide them with a platform to showcase their artistry,” they said. “Power Chord Guitar Festival is our way of shining a spotlight on the incredible talent that thrives in our own backyard.” As such, the festival is intended to be more than just another show; it’s meant to serve as a platform for emerging artists to both connect with fans and hone their skills on stage.
