With so much music in the Provo music scene, it’s easy to get sucked in and start listening to music in a bubble. It’s always great to see what awaits you in the broader world of sonic textures, and to find new recommendations that can inspire you to make music differently than you did before.

We recently featured the music of Amillianze Livingston, a soulful singer/songwriter who releases music as the band Common Tribe. However, today’s song “Pray” is wildly different in scope and scale when compared to our earlier feature “Feel Something.”

Whereas the other song featured smooth, romantic, soul-infused southern vibes, “Pray” is like the twangy AWOLNATION+X Ambassadors+Hozier fusion we didn’t know we needed. People need to hear this side of his sound as well. It’s brilliant.

The internet seems to agree. Common Tribe’s monthly listener count has skyrocketed since our last feature, crossing the 100,000 listeners threshold. It’s a well deserved win for an underrated up and comer.
