We’re back with the latest episode of Provo Music Magazine Acoustic Sessions. Zach Knell and Samuel Sheppard of Roseburg came by June Audio in the heart of downtown Provo to perform the laid back “Evergreen” โ a deep cut from their debut record Heaven vs. Hollywood.
Roseburg is an indie rock quartet based in Provo, Utah but formed in Roseburg, Oregon during a Latter-day Saint mission. The group is made up of Zach Knell (lead vocals, guitar), Samuel Sheppard (guitar), Keith Lambson (drums), and Soren Buchert (bass). They’ve toured nationally, landed high profile collaborations with artists like Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, and accumulated well over 10 million all-time streams. They’re known for their anthemic choruses, slick production, and intricate arrangements.
This performance of “Evergreen” was shot live at June Audio, and the audio was engineered and mixed by Mason Winter.
This episode is brought to you by Taste 117. Taste is one of downtown Provo’s most exciting and sophisticated destinations. A world-class, award-winning artisan chocolate factory, it also functions as a delightful cafe with delectable desserts and dishes. Taste is open Monday to Saturday, 11 AM to 8:30 PM at both their Provo and Mesa, Arizona locations.
Royalties from these acoustic sessions are split equally between the artist, the audio engineers, and Provo Music Magazine. Every time you stream, you support local artists, local studios, and local music journalism. Itโs just one innovative way weโre building a sustainable, well funded music industry in Utah.
