Del Perro is an indie rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Members include Caleb Roundy, Hunter Josi, Connor Reading, and Alejandro Encarnacion. Equally influenced by 80s post-punk new wave artists and 00s indie, the band emphasizes melodic vocals and heartfelt lyrics over rhythmic, energetic grooves.
Frontman Caleb Roundy brings authentic energy to his songwriting, with prevailing lyrical themes exploring the loneliness of youth and day-to-day life in modern America. Both themes are present in this poignant bop of theirs simply entitled, “Boys.”
Captured live at the June Audio house in downtown Provo, this performance was engineered and mixed by Mason Winter.
More than just a showcase of local talent, Provo Music Magazine Acoustic Sessions represent an innovative approach to supporting Utahโs music community. Royalties from the sessions are evenly split between the artists, engineers, and Provo Music Magazine, making each stream a direct contribution to sustaining the local music ecosystem, from the artists themselves to the studios and journalists that support them.
This weekโs episode is sponsored by Java Junkie. Proudly serving Caffe Ibis Coffee, Java Junkie is one of the most beloved coffee shops in downtown Provo. Experience Center Street with delicious food, coffee, and live music every weekend.
