With so much music in the Provo music scene, itโ€™s easy to get sucked in and start listening to music in a bubble. Itโ€™s always great to see what awaits you in the broader world of sonic textures, and to find new recommendations that can inspire you to make music differently than you did before.

Here are five songs from indie artists across the country. Hopefully something here can help spark some new inspiration for you.

Jason Lenyer Buchananโ€“ โ€œBetter Parts of Texasโ€

Every once in a while, a song comes along that stops you in your tracks. A hidden gem that makes you wonder why the world hasnโ€™t caught on yet. Jason delivers exactly that with a voice that feels effortless but is clearly rooted in skill and intention. Thereโ€™s a rustic richness to his tone that brings both warmth and authenticity, grounding the track in a classic Americana spirit while still sounding fresh and relevant.

This is folk/country done right: a seamless blend of traditional and modern influences that paints a vivid, distinctly American soundscape. The arrangement is thoughtful and well-paced, allowing the lyrics to shine while giving space for each instrument to breathe. Every element works in harmony, making this not just a great song, but a standout anthem.

Dream Thief โ€“ โ€œCherish”

This is a super cool track that immediately stands out with its sleek, captivating sound. The electronic arrangement is both polished and immersive, creating a dynamic backdrop that keeps the listener engaged from beginning to end. There’s a great sense of movement and atmosphere that gives the song real depth.

The vocals are a true highlight. They add an emotional layer that elevates the entire track, making it not just a solid electronic tune, but a memorable one. A fantastic blend of strong artistry and production skill.

Rad Obagam โ€“ โ€œTestingโ€

Rad is the perfect name for someone that makes a track like this! This electronic track hits all the right notes. It was smooth, immersive, and undeniably catchy. The vibes are spot-on, creating a sonic atmosphere that feels both polished and emotionally resonant. Itโ€™s the kind of song that pulls you in and holds your attention from start to finish.

The beat is infectious, driving the track forward with a steady pulse thatโ€™s perfect for both headphones and the dance floor. Every element, from the synth work to the subtle transitions, feels thoughtfully crafted. It’s a standout track that showcases both style and skill.

Logan Garrett โ€“ “Move”

This song is an absolute bangerโ€”bursting with energy and impossible to sit still through. From the first beat, it grabs you and doesnโ€™t let go, delivering a feel-good rush that practically demands you get up and dance. Itโ€™s the kind of track that lights up a room and lifts everyoneโ€™s mood.

The production is tight, the rhythm infectious, and the vibe completely electric. It’s clear a lot of heart went into this, and the result is a pure shot of musical joy

Muo Duo – “Love Signs”

This track bursts with confidence and style, blending swagger-filled energy with an irresistibly catchy indie pop sound. The contrast between the airy falsetto vocals and the gritty, punk-leaning lower-register delivery gives the song a dynamic edge that keeps listeners hooked. It’s the kind of bold vocal interplay that feels both playful and punchy, pulling from influences like Matt & Kim or Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head while still carving out its own lane.

The production is polished without losing that raw, DIY charm that makes indie pop so engaging. From start to finish, the song radiates a sense of fun and rebellion, making it a standout listen that’s hard to ignore. Itโ€™s fresh, vibrant, and totally deserving of a spotlight.
