The Utah Hockey Club is back โ€“ but this time as the Utah Mammoth. The Mammoth will begin the 2025-2026 regular NHL season next week on Thursday, October 9 against the Colorado Avalanche. This is part of a three-game road trip, starting at Ball Arena on Thursday, followed by a matchup against the Nashville Predators on Saturday, October 11, and the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, October 13.

But did you know that the Provo music scene has a permanent place in Utah hockey history? For Utah’s inaugural season as the Utah Hockey Club, Provo composer, engineer, and producer Mason Winter scored the music for a crucial piece of media. Entitled The Anthem: Our History Starts Now, the video kicked the season off in epic fashion and reached hundreds of thousands of viewers on Instagram alone.

The video was directed by Jedediah Thunell and produced by Patrick Allred and Ellen Young for Smith Entertainment Group. Mason Winter composed and recorded the music for the video from his studio at June Audio in downtown Provo.

All Utah Mammoth games, except exclusive nationally televised games, will be available to watch live on Mammoth+. Local fans can catch most games for free on Utah 16 (KUPX-TV- Channel 16).
