Here in Provo, we take our battle of the bands seriously. Velour Live Music Gallery’s Winter Battle of the Bands is one of the most exciting showcases of local talent – acting more like a talent incubator and launchpad for new artists than a cutthroat competition.

This year, over 70 bands submitted to the competition hoping to secure one of the 20 coveted performance slots. “This was one of the strongest overall groups of submissions we’ve ever received,” said Velour owner Corey Fox in a statement. “And I feel confident I could have put together two equally strong BOTB lineups from these submissions!”

The following 20 bands have been selected to perform in December’s battle of the bands. Many of the bands not featured this time will have opportunities to play at events like Velour’s new band showcases or the Summer 2025 Battle of the Bands.
