Last Saturday, April 25, former Velour Battle of the Bands winners The Last Wild Buffalo sold out their headlining show โ well before doors opened. Velour announced a standby line leading up to the show. When the show finally came, the line of attendees hoping to see The Last Wild Buffalo and openers Theoretical Blonde stretched around the block.
The show celebrated the release of Still Here, Somehow. This 14-track album builds on the bandโs folk/Americana foundation while injecting the grit, scale, and emotional energy of their live shows. Known for their tight 3-part harmonies, the record displays the contrast between quiet harmonies and sweeping builds.

The band wrote the record across Utah and on the road while promoting their first album โ 2024’s The Last Wild Buffalo. According to the band, “It reflects on themes of home, change, and the spaces between where weโve been and where weโre headed. The result is a road-worn, heartfelt record built for both crowded rooms and long drives through the woods.”
The artwork for Still Here, Somehow is a commissioned original piece by Milo Jolly, an Utah-born artist now based in Brooklyn. The album was produced internally by the band’s vocalist and banjo player Jonathan Celaya and mastered by David Glasser of Airshow Mastering.
