SLUG Magazine gives an inside scoop on Provo’s Joshua James.

SLUG Magazine paid a visit to Provo to record the first of two nights where popular folk singer, Joshua James, would be performing at his album release concert. Joshua James, whose original album The Sun is Always Brighter was listed #1 on the iTunes folk list, has gained national attention with his Bob Dylan-like style. James is based out of Provo and can be seen below performing in Utah’s hottest music venue, Velour Live Music Gallery. Joshua is a folk musician who has reached fairly high levels of success – his album The Sun is Always Brighter reached no. 1 on the iTunes folk albums list when it was released, and he has continued to release some of the best folk music I’ve ever heard. Nate Pyfer has extensive experience both as a performer and a producer, and has worked with local legends like Kaskade, The Moth & The Flame, Sego, Fictionist, and his own band, Pinguin Mofex.
