By Richard Provost
As of 4 PM Mountain Standard Time on December 30, 2015: The National Parks, Westward The Tide, and Brumby – all bands with strong ties to Provo – are part of the #1 selling show in the Utah Region, according to 24tix.com. These three bands will be performing live at Velour Live Music Gallery in Provo, UT on January 8th, 2016 as part of Velour’s 10th Anniversary Celebration.
This concert is ranked ahead of the Joshua James concert on January 15 at The Urban Lounge, the 2016 Twilight Concert Series, and the Vance Joy concert at The Complex. Vance Joy’s song “Riptide” was a hit this year, and was certified platinum five times by the Australian Recording Industry Association. This is evidence that the combined appeal of each of these bands is growing in the mountain west.
