Kitfox, known for the beautiful lead vocals of Emilee Holgate, is set to release a brand new album on February 20th, 2016. The album, entitled To Keep You Company, is the full length follow up to their 2014 EP, Where We Were. The new album features the songs Kitfox recorded in Nashville after successfully raising over $10,000 on Kickstarter.
The band worked with producers Gabe Simon and Konrad Snyder at The Study, a studio in Nashville. Snyder tracked the strings for Owl City’s All Things Bright and Beautiful, [1] and was the sound engineer for Mat Kearney’s Just Kids. [2] Simon provides guitar, trumpet, and vocals for the successful indie rock band Kopecky, whose music has appeared on Grey’s Anatomy, Parenthood, and The Vampire Diaries. Other tracks on the album were either self recorded or recorded at Provo’s Studio Studio Dada with Stephen Cope. The album is being mixed by Andrew Heringer from the band Milo Greene.

Things are already looking promising for the new Kitfox album. Their song “Misery” was recently featured on the ABC primetime show Blood and Oil. You can hear the song in the seventh episode of the first season entitled, “Fight or Flight.”
Kitfox will hold their official album release show at Kilby Court on February 20th. They will perform alongside Emily Brown and Brian Bingham. Tickets are $6. You can buy them online here or snag some at the door.
