Audio West in Orem is hosting a series of benefit concerts for an awesome cause: Running4Refugees. Running4Refugees is a local charitable organization that raises money to provide aid for displaced persons seeking refuge in the Middle East.
All funds gathered by Running4Refugees are then donated to AMAR. AMAR was founded in 1991 after Saddam Hussein’s persecution of the Marsh Arabs in Southern Iraq displaced thousands. Founded by Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, the charity originally went by its full title, “Assisting Marsh Arabs and Refugees.” Almost 25 years later, her mission to help victims of conflict and persecution continues under the AMAR name.
The Utah County Running4Refugees concert series is just one event in a series of events. Others include 1K and 5K fun runs. They are also doing a food drive, collecting packaged rice, lentils, and beans.
The concert series features 3 awesome shows at Audio West.
The first takes place Friday, March 3rd at 7:30PM. Foreign Figures, Ryan Rostrom, and Cody Humphreys will perform.
The second concert is on March 10th at 7:30 PM. The Real Doug Lane, Cephas, and Motion Coaster will perform.
The final concert is on March 17th at 7:30 PM. This show will feature Mallory Ownbey, Allie Gardner, and Maddie Wilson.
