Studio Studio Dada is historically one of the most creatively collaborative studios in Utah Valley. Led by Bly Wallentine, their studio has hosted avant-garde concerts, international touring groups, seminars and workshops for LGBTQ+ musicians, chance-writing sessions, and week-long bootcamps where temporary bands are formed and have to create pieces to showcase by the end of the week.
Now, Studio Studio Dada is hosting free music theory classes for the general public every Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Small donations are accepted, but not required. Past subjects include basic music equipment, signal flow, gain staging, and harmonizing diatonic melodies.
Masks are required for everyone attending in person regardless of vaccination status. For those unable to attend in person, Bly Wallentine will also be live streaming over Instagram here. You can check out some of Bly Wallentine’s work below. Studio Studio Dada is located at 767 E 200 N Provo, UT 84606.
