Shows This Week (2/14/2022 – 2/19/2022)

This is a huge week for Velour and Brigham Young University.

On Tuesday, February 15, Velour is hosting the Happy Valley Rockers Bex B-Day Bash! The event features Backhand, Say Hey, Scheissters, and The Squirms. Tickets are $10 online here.

On Thursday, February 17, Les Femmes De Velour Kicks off with Emily Bea, Care, Alli Jane, and Mikkia! Tickets are $10 online here.

Les Femmes De Velour Night #2 is on Friday, February 18. Goldmyth, Homephone, 26fix, and Kathleen Frewin will perform. Tickets are $10 online here.

On Saturday, February 19, Cherish DeGraaf, The Penny Candies, No Bad Ideas, and Sarah June will conclude the week with Night #3 of Les Femmes De Velour. Tickets are $10 online here.

Doors to all these shows open at 7:30 PM.

The Boardwalk

Thursday, February 17, The Boardwalk is hosting their February open mic night. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $5 online here.

On Friday, February 18, VVNDGO will perform with The Garden Plot & No Diploma. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $8 online here.

UVU

On Wednesday, February 16, see the UVU Wind Symphony in concert! The show is at 7 PM. Tickets are available here.

BYU

On February 15, fifteen of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today, led by Wynton Marsalis, will perform. Don’t miss the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra at 7:30 PM in the de Jong Concert Hall! Grab tickets here.

On February 16, the BYU Philharmonic will perform. This season’s celebration of the nearly 60-year history of the de Jong Concert Hall continues with performances by Hungary’s greatest composers, Bartok and Kodaly. The show starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available here.

On February 18 at 7:30 PM, The BYU Wind Symphony celebrates Black History Month with a concert titled “Toward Freedom…” featuring Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, two works honoring Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and a musical celebration of the Black Sunday worship experience by composer Omar Thomas. Tickets are available here.

On February 19 at 7:30 PM, BYU is hosting the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival in the de Jong Concert Hall. This event features Nestor Torres and other guests. Tickets are available here.

Java Junkie

Java Junkie hosts an open mic night every Friday at 7 PM.

On February 19th, The Miller Revue will perform from 8-10 PM.

Platinum Sports and Music Memorabilia

Every Thursday from 7 – 9 PM, Platinum Sports and Music Memorabilia on Center Street hosts an open mic night.
