Fort Desolation isn’t a place. It’s the childhood dream of three friends made manifest as adults. As Gen Xers, they were left alone growing up. Latchkey kids in every sense of the word, they came to love dirt biking, exploring, bonfires, and sleeping under the stars. As they grew up, they learned that a car and a full tank of gas could take you anywhere.
Now, these friends curate unique outdoor overland adventure experiences for vehicle-supported travelers as Fort Desolation. And there’s no better place for overland adventures than Southern Utah.
Fort Desolation Fest 2022 is one of those curated experiences. Taking place over the course of three days from August 12 – 14, attendees will be able to enjoy the outdoors, quality food and drink, and some top tier national acts. The event is held at Cougar Ridge Resort in Torrey, Utah right outside of Capitol Reef National Park.
This year’s lineup features The Band of Heathens and Heartless Bastards on Friday, Amos Lee, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Danielle Ponder, Marty O’Reilly & The Old Soul Orchestra on Saturday, and Elle King, Rayland Baxter, Elizabeth Cook, Jordan Matthew Young & Friends on Sunday.
Camping spots, the Club 7 Villa, and VIP tickets may be sold out, but it’s not too late to get general admission to the concerts! You can snag those here. While you’re waiting for Fort Desolation Fest 2022 to begin, check out the recap of last year’s festival below.
