To our friends in Provo, broader Deseret, and beyond:
We can’t believe we’ve been with you for two years now. That’s wild. It’s been a real blessing getting to know the artists and passionate local music fans that live here in Happy Valley. We’ve met so many good people who champion each other and celebrate each others’ efforts to make the world a bit brighter through sound waves and communal gathering.

We’re especially grateful for the people who aren’t afraid to take risks. Sponsors who are funding local journalism; musicians who pour their time and energy into creating new things; and charitable listeners who buy stuff from indie musicians and share it with their friends and family.
Since we launched at the end of 2021, ProvoMusicMagazine.com has been read by over 100,000 people. We’ve printed over 155,000 copies ofย Provo Music Magazineย and have distributed them all over Utah County. It’s been really great to hear the positive feedback from people who weren’t aware of the cool thing we have going on in our little town.
At the close of 2023 we are thrilled for what’s to come. Next year, Provo Music Magazine will be printed bi-monthly. 300,000 copies of the magazine will help take Utah music beyond Utah County.
Looking back, this year was full of great moments. This month, Provo became the center of online gossip when Spotify made it a popular Sound Town. We had three phenomenal locals impress judges on national TV: EJ Michels and Lennon VanderDoes on The Voice, and Aaliyah Rose on American Idol. A new music festival brought a major national act to Utah County. And local musicians came together to help a sick friend get a heart transplant. It’s been an exciting and beautiful year.
We could keep listing great things that happened in 2023, but you get the point. The scene is growing more collaborative and organized, and it’s only a matter of time before Provo will become the music capital of the Mountain West. If we keep loving and supporting each other, there’s no way we can’t get there.
Here’s to an even brighter, kinder, and more successful 2024. Weโll leave you with some wonderful music from Provo locals. We hope this musicย inspires you and brightens your day. May the blessing of Christmas rest upon your home, and may your heart be light.
Merry Christmas,
The Provo Music Magazine Team
