If you thought The Boardwalk’s Fall Battle of the Bands was the final chance to see back-to-back nights of some of the best local bands in peak form, you’d be mistaken. Here in Provo, we take our battles so seriously, we’ve got one for every season. And as fall cools into winter, Velour has you covered for one last Battle of the Bands before 2024 closes out.

After sorting through the 60+ submissions received this round, Velour announced yesterday the following 20 bands have been selected to perform in December’s battle. Many of the other bands not featured this time will have opportunities to play at events like Velour’s new band showcases in March or next summer’s battle of the bands. Without further ado, the lineup:

As always, this lineup is chock-full of great local talent, and this is sure to be a can’t-miss event. While many years have a few bands that immediately stand out from the pack, Winter 2024’s competition is filled to the brim with bands you know can (and will) bring the heat. From experienced BotB competitors like OrcaMind and Just Khakis to fan-favorites like CAYSN, and even recent Provo Music Magazine interviewee Sabrina Fair, there are names to watch all over this lineup. I honestly can’t even give you my recommendation for which night of prelims to attend because they’re all so dang solid. And you know that finals will be a showdown not to miss.

Velour’s Winter 2024 Battle of the Bands will take place December 9 through December 14, 2024. Doors open every night at 7:30 PM, with shows starting around 8 PM. Tickets are $12 at the door and often sell out, so be sure to get in line nice and early to support your favorite groups!
