If you’re not listening to BIZZY, you should change that. Not only is her music infectious and catchy, but so is her personality. Take one look at her Instagram and you’ll realize that she marches to the beat of her own drummer, rocking fashion that primarily consists of some kind of basketball shorts and cowboy boots. While most artists try to carefully curate a particular aesthetic that’ll help them cut through the noise and standout, BIZZY’s aesthetic doesn’t feel contrived. It feels 100% authentically her.

Her live performances scream good-natured authenticity as well. We experienced that firsthand during her recent Soundwell show in Salt Lake City, where BIZZY opened for Rachel Chinouriri as part of her All I Ever Asked For Was A North American Tour. Provo Music Magazine‘s Ivan Martinez captured the contagious energy of her performance that night.

The next day she headed down to Provo, Utah to meet with Provo Music Magazine, tour June Audio Recording Studios, snag some mixed sodas at Sodalicious, and participate in a shoot for tmrw.

Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, BIZZY made the most of her time in Utah. Rather than just passing through, playing one show, and bouncing, she really dove in and took advantage of what the industry here has to offer. It’s a masterclass in how Provo musicians should maximize time while out on the road. Fostering genuine connections beyond immediate utilitarian ones the night of the show is crucial.

BIZZY, whose stage name originated as a childhood nickname from her father, harnesses a whirlwind of energy and honesty to foster genuine connections. In fact, that whirlwind energy is a huge asset. โ€œI was always running around like a little psychopath with way too much energy,โ€ she laughs. That boundless spirit โ€” once confined to chaotic toddlerhood โ€” now fuels a budding music career built on connection.

“I chose BIZZY to be my artist name because it feels like the purest and truest version of myself,” she says. “That is the place I always try to create from, being as vulnerable and honest with myself as possible.”

It’s been really cool to see content she shot spontaneously in downtown Provo show up on her feed mere days later. Being able to say, “Hey. I recognize that spot!” or “I was there when she filmed that!” is genuinely cool. BIZZY’s kindness and genuine nature make it easy โ€“ and fun โ€“ to be a fan. She shot this video behind White Space Studios downtown.

For BIZZY, music has always been a vessel for heightened emotion. โ€œIf Iโ€™m sad, I put on a sad song and immediately feel validated,โ€ she says. โ€œIf Iโ€™m happy, I put on a happy, anthemic song and feel like Iโ€™m the main character.โ€ That cinematic intensity โ€” the sensation of speeding through life with the roof down and the volume up โ€” lies at the core of her sound.

So if youโ€™ve just discovered BIZZY, buckle up. Her story is still being written โ€” but one thingโ€™s for sure: sheโ€™s doing it her way, with heart, honesty, and a whole lot of feeling.
