Man, on these long, hot summer days all you need is a nice cold treat to help break the heat. Unfortunately, Provo Music Magazine isn’t in the ice cream business, but we can offer something just as exciting: a brand-new print edition of the magazine! (I mean, if nothing else, you can use it as a fan, so you can’t accuse us of not helping break the heat.)
The last few months have brought their fair share of great stories, killer music, and news from around the scene, and our Summer 2025 volume is your one-stop shop for anything you may have missed. In our cover story, Darcie Roy talks to Eidola’s Andrew Wells and discusses mental health journeys, his perspective on music communities, and the backstory to their latest album, Mend. Check it out to find out some of his thoughts on the local scene, the global scene, and ways artists can connect to their fans in deeper, more meaningful ways.
In addition to our cover story, we also have reviews of some of our favorite albums to come out of Utah recently, a recap of The Boardwalk’s final Battle of the Bands, an interview with Poolhouse reflecting on their viral success after writing the song of the summer with “Could Be Love,” and a countdown of some of our favorite Rugs Unplugged sessions. Utah has an immense amount of musical talent right below our noses, and our goal is to spotlight as many of these awesome creatives as we can.
