The Boardwalk’s Fall 2023 Battle of the Bands was another action packed event that helped inject new blood into the Provo music scene. Bands from this event went on to have a strong showing in Velour’s Winter 2023 Battle of the Bands as well, including Ignatious, Afternoon All Night, and more.

Now, submissions for The Boardwalk’s Spring 2024 Battle of the Bands are open. The event will take place from Monday, May 13 through Saturday, May 18. Traditionally, The Boardwalk’s Battle of the Bands has only had five nights. This year’s features six nights with a really cool twist.

Every night, judges will decide both a winner and a runner up. On night 5 (Friday), the second place winners from each night will perform to see who will be crowned the Ultimate Runners Up. Night 6 (Saturday) will then proceed as normal with a traditional finals night.

Submissions are open now until February 24. Interested musicians can apply here. The Boardwalk is encouraging new bands to apply. For bands who competed in the Fall 2023 Battle of the Bands, the chances of them being selected are lower to allow new bands an opportunity to network and gain new fans.
