June Audio โ the acclaimed studio at the heart of downtown Provo โ recently announced The Producer’s Club. The Producer’s Club is June Audio’s formal foray into technical education, and a response to years of inquiries from people eager to learn about audio recording.
“I’ve always loved teaching and have taught classes for Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse, BYU, and UVU,” says Scott Wiley, founder of June Audio. “Weโve been kicking around the idea of some classes at the studio for years, but finally settled on a format that would work for everyone. We get so many emails and calls about learning, interning, and shadowing that we could never accommodate even half of the interest, so maybe we can share some knowledge this way and help strengthen our local audio community.”
As the Provo music scene and Utah music industry as a whole continues to organize and grow, a systematized way for current professionals to pass knowledge and expertise on to the next generation is crucial. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting to explore music production, The Producerโs Club aims to give you the knowledge, skills, and experience you need to grow.

Members of The Producerโs Club get exclusive access to classes designed for every level of recording experience. Introductory classes cover the basics; fundamental classes combine and apply core concepts; and advanced level classes dig in deep and help you hone your craft.
Classes are developed and led by June Audio’s world-class staff of professional engineers and producers, including Jed Jones, Nate Pyfer, and Scott Wiley.
Scott Wiley has worked with The Killers, Neon Trees, Bonnie Raitt, David Archuleta, Tracy Chapman, The National Parks, and more. He was recently featured in an episode of NPR’s World Cafe.
Nate Pyfer is a Grammy-nominated producer who has worked with Kaskade, The Moth & The Flame, Sego, Joshua James, Lindsey Stirling, Neon Trees, and more. He performs locally in Pinguin Mofex, and releases electronic music with Mason Porter as Mr. Tape.

Jed Jones had a short stint at Electric Lady Studios in New York and has worked with Post Malone, The Aces, iDKHOW, and The Killers, and has done work for Netflix.

“The main instructors will be Nate, Jed and I, but we have big plans to involve the many other professionals we know,” says Wiley. “From musicians, to other engineers and producers to gear manufacturers, we hope to involve many of our friends and colleagues from other areas like LA, Nashville, and New York. We are lucky to have a pretty big network from all the time we have spent in the industry. I think our club members will be pretty excited with the exposure they will enjoy.”
Topics and course schedules will rotate regularly to accommodate different interests and availability. Producerโs Club members are also invited to special sessions featuring these guest instructors.
So. How does it work? The Producerโs Club costs $300 a month. Members can sign up for any 4 of at least 12 offered classes on-site at June Audio. These classes are two hours long. Additional classes beyond the standard 4 can be added for $75 a class. Members can choose the topics, instructors, level, and schedule that works best for them. “Each member will also get a snazzy T-shirt and a hug from Nate if you want it,” jokes Wiley.

There’s no shortage of engineering talent coming out of the state’s universities, but there are few established studios to intern in. The Producer’s Club aims to further organize and establish the Utah music industry by providing these graduates with a place to hone their skills.
“As a studio owner, I know we can always use more trained and knowledgeable engineers and producers who recognize what a studio like June is capable of and how to use it to help their projects,” Scott Wiley Says. “I also know that itโs hard to get hands on time around here. I’m hoping these classes and this club can help satisfy some of that need.”
