Velour Live Music Gallery
Velour is closed for the majority of the week for renovations as they gear up for their 10 year anniversary celebration. On January 8th, Velour begins its 8 week long celebration as they welcome The National Parks, Brumby, and Westward The Tide to the stage. This is the best selling show in Utah right now, and tickets are going fast. On January 9th RKDN returns to Provo after playing a New Year’s eve show in St. George, Utah. They’ll be joined by Static Waves and Festive People. Festive people is the latest band to win Velour’s semi-annual battle of the bands. You can purchase tickets to these shows at 24tix.com.
Muse Music
Shows at Muse Music resume this Friday. Catch Winchester, Doris Day., and Melting Rain at 8 PM. Tickets are $7. Winchester is currently recording a studio album. Also, be sure to watch for our interview with Ted Richards, the lead singer of emo punk band Doris Day. later on this week. On Saturday, the bands Former Tides, Harbor Patrol, and Wired for Havoc will perform at Muse. Visit the official Muse website for more information.
The Wall
BYU’s restaurant/venue, located on the bottom floor of the Wilkinson Student Center, is holding their Winter Kick-off Concert featuring Luna Lune, Mimi Knowles, and Chris Crabb. Doors open at 7 PM. Tickets are $5. They’re available at the door or at eventtickets.byu.edu. Regular Open Mic and Karaoke nights will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 PM respectively.
