Les Femmes De Velour is an eight-day celebration of female and female-fronted acts in the Provo music scene. To honor these incredible musicians, we’re highlighting one artist from each night.
26fix is the alias of multi-instrumentalist Erika Goodwin. Goodwin is known in the Provo music scene for her work as guitarist and backup vocalist of the spacey alt-rock band Brother. Her solo work relies on otherworldly textures, experimental-but-locked-in grooves, and distinctive vocals that are sure to please fans of MGMT. Psychedelic music for the internet age, each of her songs feature prominent bass lines.
As was the case for many musicians, the COVID-19 Pandemic finally gave Goodwin the chance to slow down and create for herself. The result was a concept album which will eventually be the first 26fix EP. Goodwin has released 3 singles from this collection of songs since 2021: “A Pickle,” “Peggy Paradise,” and “She Hit Me First.”
You can catch 26fix at night 1 of Les Femmes De Velour on February 16 alongside The Rubies, The Plastic Cherries, and Lunar Spirit. Tickets are on sale here. Make sure to follow 26fix on Instagram and stream “A Pickle” below.
