Les Femmes De Velour is an eight-day celebration of female and female-fronted acts in the Provo music scene. To honor these incredible musicians, we’re highlighting one artist from each night.
Chloë Mae grew up learning the violin. After years of classical training, she adopted the fiddle style and began touring around her hometown of Austin, Texas at a very young age. Other instruments followed: ukulele, guitar, and piano. She was singing by her teen years, and by college, she had relocated to Utah and adopted a warm folk sound and a full band.
Since launching a more dedicated solo career in adulthood, Chloë has begun working with EDM producers around the world. She was the cover artist for Bridge Music Magazine and has hundreds of thousands of streams from collaborations with EDM artists and solo releases.
Her 2021 folk EP with Benjamin Josiah is highly recommended: it’s a perfect slice of rustic, natural, homespun indie folk goodness. We’re excited to see more from her in the years to come.
You can catch Chloë Mae at night 5 of Les Femmes De Velour. That’s tonight, February 23. She’ll perform alongside Jumpmonk, Mykah, and Angie Petty. Tickets are on sale here. Make sure to follow Chloë Mae on Instagram and stream “i’ll wait for you” below.
